Take A Holiday At Home
Why not take a holiday by the British coast? It's become de riguer in recent times to think that a vacation is not a vacation unless it's spent at least one thousand miles away on some Greek island teeming to the brim with tourists. It's almost as if the holiday is secondary to the experience of telling everybody how marvellous it was.
Was it marvellous to spend hours on end standing around waiting to board a flight? Was it marvellous to lug heavy suitcases around, and constantly worry about mislaying your passport? Perhaps when you get back you could wax lyrical about the wonderful airport lounge food that you had to digest.
I'm not saying never take a holiday abroad, it's an experience most of us should have at some time in our life. But a holiday spent, for example, on the English riviera can be a great experience too, and it has one great advantage;it's cheap.
You could holiday in one of the many splendid hotels available in the British Isles or with money in mind you could take your downtime in a caravan.
A lot people are very sniffy about about caravanning holidays, but there is no need to be. They are simple, yes, but isn't that the point of a holiday - we want to get away from it all.
From your point of residence, wherever that should be, there are lots of places of interest in the British Isles that are worthwhile to visit. You could fish out
hundreds by the use of that handy old tool - the internet.
