How To Drive Efficiently To Save Fuel
From september 2008 a government initiative will allow driving examiners to give new drivers feedback on "green driving". It is part of a campaign to reduce greenhouse gases, but as it is targeted at reducing fuel consumption it is also a way to make financial savings.
Transport minister Jim Fitzpatrick announced that drivers could save up to a month's worth of fuel every year by following simple steps:-
- Avoid high revs.
- Drive more smoothly.
- Anticipate driving conditions.
- Turn off engine in traffic.
- Reduce speed from 70mph to 50mph.
So drive efficiently to reduce climate change and save money.
