Saving Money Tips
Supermarkets are constantly trying to seduce us into spending more money by moving our purchases up the brand chain. Lots of people gradually slowly but surely buy more expensive verions of the same item. You don't have to fall for this.
Try downshifing your purchases. Write down all your purchases of food items say. Now try to drop one brand level on everything and see if you can notice any difference. If you don't notice the difference, stick with the cheaper item.
The impact on your shopping bill can be enormous. Drop one brand level and you could cut your bill by one third. If your weekly shop costs you £100, that's a saving of £1700 a year.
